Manufacturing our tinctures:

Only non-toxic plants are used in the production of our tinctures. The herbs are prepared at a ratio of 1kg plant matter to 4 litres 80% alcohol in a 5l preserving jar and stored in a sunny place for at least 8-10 weeks. A rubber band hermetically seals the opening of the jar. The jar is shaken vigorously at least 1x per day, and slowly but surely the liquid begins to darken. Our tinctures need up to 10 weeks to get the alcohol extract. At this point the tincture has a very dark colour and a strong taste. Next, the plant matter is separated from the alcohol extract with a sieve. The plant matter is then pressed and dried in the sunshine.
The alcohol extract is filtered and poured into a canister. The dried plant matter is burned in a special oven until only white ash remains. This purely white ash is heated once again in a special oven at a temperature of 800° to 1000°. Depending on the part of the plant used, plant salts start being released from the ashes after 1 to 8 hours. This process is achieved with distilled water. The mineral solution is then filtered and admixed to the alcohol extract, constantly stirring. The drops are then taken as prescribed on each label.
